ES6 Set class operations

We developed the mathematical operations such as union, intersection, difference, and also subset in our Set class. Unfortunately, the ES6 native Set class does not contain these functionalities. However, we can try to simulate them in case it is needed.

We will use the following two sets in our examples:

let setA = new Set(); setA.add(1); setA.add(2); setA.add(3); let setB = new Set(); setB.add(2); setB.add(3); setB.add(4);

Simulating the union operation

To add all the elements from two sets, we can create a third one (line {1}), iterate the other two sets (lines {2} and {3}), and add all their elements into the union set, as demonstrated by the following code:

let unionAb = new Set(); //{1} for (let x of setA) unionAb.add(x); //{2} for (let x of setB) unionAb.add(x); //{3}
